SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — There's been no shortage of debate & speculation since those Sept. 2022 whispers of the CFP Committee's expansion of the College Football Playoff to a 12-team format starting in the 2024 season.
For context: winter headquarters is 20-ish minutes southeast of the homes our relatives have owned since the late 1980s in Phoenix and the resort area where Scottsdale meets Paradise Valley. At the past two Fiesta Bowls, we talked with fans enduring things they already hate about CFP expansion before the first 12-team CFP bracket is even seeded.
