EUGENE — New season; same kind of start. Oregon opens the preseason ranked sky-high, survives a September struggle game, and the college football universe cranks up the ā€œoverratedā€ narrative.

Dan Lanning’s Ducks have been efficient, explosive, and mostly businesslike since joining the Big Ten, 18-3 against conference opponents and only losing to the eventual national champs.
