EUGENE — Saturday at Autzen, Senior Day, and a ranked matchup in Oregon’s final home game of the regular season.
Stakes are high. CFP No. 15 USC (8-2, 6-1 Big Ten) and Oregon (9-1, 6-1 Big Ten) both have playoff hopes riding on this one.
The Trojans’ season hinges on a statement win in Eugene, so Oregon can expect to get USC’s best.
Winner stays in the CFP chase; loser most likely drops into the bowl game circuit.

Oregon’s keys vs USC
Here’s where Oregon can build leverage:
Dominate the trenches. Oregon enters the final two weeks of the regular season among the nation’s best defenses (13.7 ppg allowed), total defense in the top three nationally (235.4 ypg), leading the nation in pass defense (127.3 ypg).
Force USC off-schedule. Lincoln Riley teams prioritize offense, but Oregon’s pass rush and secondary have shown they’re capable of eliminating big plays and making opponents grind. Third-down stops, crowd noise, communication lapses, and penalties all contribute to an Oregon win.
Attack with balance. 2025 USC has a weakness for allowing explosive runs, and Oregon’s RB room is packed with healthy runners who can take over a game. Keep QB1 Dante Moore upright, rotate fresh RBs, and strike early so USC doesn’t build momentum.
The B1G picture
A win keeps Oregon technically in the Big Ten race and squarely in the CFP conversation.
It’ll take a catastrophic collapse by Indiana or Ohio State to shake either from the lead for the conference title game in these final two weeks of the regular season.
Big Ten key games this week:
Rutgers at No. 1 Ohio State
No. 18 Michigan at Maryland
No. 21 Illinois at Wisconsin
Washington at UCLA
(No. 2 Indiana bye week)
The bottom line
Oregon fans, don’t underestimate this moment! Depending on playoff seeding, Saturday vs. USC could be Oregon’s final home game of the year. One more chance to make that Autzen Stadium home crowd difference.
Both teams have top-shelf motivation to deliver a statement win, with playoff fates in the balance. But there’s only one Duck Nation making Autzen one of the most hostile environments for visiting teams to play.
One last November Saturday to pack the house. Hollywood glitter vs. Oregon grit. USC ego vs. UO substance. Let ‘em hear you one more time!
