Never miss Ducks4Life
EUGENE — Oregon Football coaching hires always trigger the most delusional casual-fan hot takes. That low-football-IQ bandwagon is running full throttle in the wake of the Ducks firing OC Drew Mehringer on Sunday.
The grass is damn green in Eugene, but you don’t have to smoke it all at once.
Chip Kelly? Or some coach who’s already unemployed in October? Or somebody from Little Brother’s staff in the JV league with losses to both of their barely-ranked Power-4 opponents? Ridiculous, all of it.
I can call the Louvre. They’re still not mailing me the Mona Lisa.
And I can call a recycling center. They’re still not shipping me the latest landfill deposit from Maryland or Baylor.
Nostalgia isn’t a hiring process. Lusting for the best of the unemployed in the middle of October doesn’t even have a zip code in reality.
