Lanning posts third straight 11-win season
SEATTLE — Oregon’s 26–14 win over Washington wasn’t just another rung on the ladder. It was a full-blown exclamation point on a season that feels like it could turn into one for the history books.
Oregon coach Dan Lanning delivered his second straight win over the Huskies, and his third straight season with 11 wins or more at Oregon.
Oregon (11–1, 8–1 Big Ten) awaits the outcome of conference championship weekend and final seeding of this year’s CFP bracket.
Oregon’s 2025 win at Husky Stadium was also the final regular-season game with the Ducks for coordinators Tosh Lupoi (DC) and Will Stein (OC). Lupoi has since accepted a five-year deal as head coach at Cal, and Stein accepted the head coach position at Kentucky.
Lanning confirmed that both will remain with Oregon through this year’s playoffs before moving into their new roles. Not quite ideal to rely on coordinators with one foot out the door, but any conflicts of interest are vastly reduced by Cal and Kentucky already being in their offseasons:
The early signing period already closed this week.
Neither Cal nor Kentucky is in the mix for a conference title game or playoff seeding.
